Application and measuring principle
Outside micrometers with non-rotating spindle for external grooves, circlip grooves and O-ring recesses.
Micrometers use a finely guided spindle and controlled actuation. This makes them suitable for repeatable external, thickness and special measurements with a clearly defined measuring geometry.
Versions and technical selection
The main selection criteria are measuring range, resolution or scale division, measuring geometry, measuring depth and, where applicable, data output. The item variants are compared below with their technical values.

Typical applications
Depending on contact faces and design, the product families cover standard external dimensions, wall thicknesses, grooves, gears, threads and series inspection. Reliable results require the measuring range and geometry to match the workpiece.
