Comparative measurement of small bores

DIATEST bore gauges are designed for precise two-point comparative measurements in small bores. Depending on the probe head, through bores, blind bores and parallel distances can be inspected.

Modular system for different tasks

A complete measuring system consists of at least a probe head, drive needle, holder with 8 mm clamping shank, indicator and setting ring. The cone of the drive needle transfers movement at a 1:1 ratio. Components can be combined or exchanged to suit the application.

Self-centring and form inspection

Semicircular measuring jaws centre the probe head in the bore. Gentle rocking identifies the reversal point. Measurements at different depths and directions reveal diameter as well as ovality, taper, barrel and bell-mouth deviations.

Reliable setting and repeatable inspection

A suitable setting ring is used to establish the reference value. With a measuring stand, reversal-point searching can be eliminated, supporting faster and less operator-dependent series inspection.
